Born Clea Helen D’Etienne DuVall on September 25, 1977 in L.A. California, Clea was the only child of Stephen and Rosemary DuVall. At age 12, Clea’s parents divorced and her mother remarried. She dropped out of high school, left home and moved into her own apartment. During this time, Clea DuVall entertained herself by watching movies and TV programs while memorizing entire scenes. It was then she realized she wanted to become an actress.

Clea DuVall returned to school and finished high school. She attended Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, while working to support herself. She worked in a coffee shop before she landed a role in “Little Witches”.

The first major role of Clea DuVall came when she won a part in Robert Rodriguez’s 1998 film “The Faculty”. In this film, Clea DuVall worked with other up-and-coming actors, such as Josh Hartnett and Elijah Wood. She played supporting roles in films as “Girl, Interrupted”, “She’s All That” and “But I’m a Cheerleader”, among others.

Throughout 2001, Clea DuVall played small roles several movies, such as “See Jane Run”, “Ghosts of Mars” and “Thirteen Conversations About One Thing”. As she worked in the big screen, she also appeared in the 2001 TV movie “How to Make a Monster” by George Huang. She also had guest role in the series, “The Fugitive”.

Clea DuVall appeared in the “Laramie Project” in 2002 and starred as one of the intriguing characters in the HBO series, Carnivale, which aired from 2003 to 2005. In 2004, Clea DuVall appeared in the three-hour TV prequel movie, Helter Skelter. She played as one of Charles Manson’s family member, Linda Kasabian, who became the star witness for the prosecution in the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murder trial.

In the American horror movie remake of “The Grudge”, Clea DuVall played a major role alongside her friend, Sarah Michelle Gellar. She recently appeared on the hit NBC show, Heroes, as an FBI agent without superpowers. Clea DuVall recently appeared in the film, “Ten Inch Hero”. She recently finished two films – Anamorph and Passengers, which are scheduled to show in 2008.

Aside from acting, Clea DuVall has directed a short film entitled “It’s Not Easy Being Green”, which starred Carla Gallo, Leisha Hailey and herself.
